Laparotomy Sponge also referred to as Lap sponge or X-Ray Detectable Abdominal Pad is latex free absorbent pad made from 100% surgical grade woven fabric widely used during surgical procedures, principally while operating around the abdominal region to control blood & oozing. It can also be used in preventing blood flow by applying pressure on the bleeding wound.
Lap Sponge assists the medical team to perform abdominal surgical procedures with ease & better visibility as it keeps the surgical sites free from the body fluids resulting in quality surgery. It comes with an X-ray detectable line which helps in preventing obliteration during the surgical stitching when closing a wound. It comes lint-free which ensures there are no loose threads.
